Neben der Vergabe von 11 Europameister Titeln, der NSBA Hunter Under Saddle Futurity und der Ranch Riding Challange stand gestern Abend ein weiteres Highlight auf dem Programm: Pleasure Celebration - sponsored by the Pleasure Community

Die acht Teilnehmer ritten um ein Preisgeld von 5.250,00 € sowie um eines der drei eigens angefertigten Buckles.

In dem hochkarätigen Starterfeld konnten sich Mark Shaffer und Straitup For Certain an die Spitze setzen. Der 2022 geborene QH-Wallach stammt ab von The Best Martini aus der Another Certain Vino, einer Tochter von Certain Potential, und steht im Besitz von Anna Omodeo. Für das Paar ist es bereits der zweite Sieg auf dieser Europameisterschaft. Zuvor konnten sie sich den Titel in der Junior Western Pleasure sichern.

Auf Platz zwei ritten Julia Wran-Schumer und die Paint-Stute Whatever U Want. Die 2021 geborene Stute stammt von U Know U Want Me aus der Goodilicious ab und ist im Besitz von Bianka Tengg aus Österreich.

Den dritten Platz sicherten sich Patricia Faust und ihr QH-Wallach Vintage Blue Machine. Für das Paar ist dies ein weiterer schöner Erfolg bei dieser Europameisterschaft: Bereits in der Junior Pleasure konnten sie die Bronzemedaille und im Junior Trail die Silbermedaille gewinnen. Der 2021 geborene Vintage Blue Machine stammt ab von VS Code Blue aus einer Tochter von Potential Investment und wurde von Marco Stors gezüchtet.

In addition to the awarding of 11 European Championship titles, the NSBA Hunter Under Saddle Futurity, and the Ranch Riding Challenge, there was another highlight on the program yesterday evening: Pleasure Celebration - sponsored by the Pleasure Community

The eight competitors rode for prize money of €5,250.00 and one of three custom-made buckles.

In a field of excellent competitors, Mark Shaffer and Straitup For Certain took the lead. The QH gelding, born in 2022, is by The Best Martini out of Another Certain Vino, a daughter of Certain Potential, and is owned by Anna Omodeo. This marks the successful pair’s second win at this European Championship: they had previously secured the title in Junior Western Pleasure.

Julia Wran-Schumer and Whatever U Want (owner: Bianka Tengg) took second place. The 2021 born Paint Mare is by U Know U Want Me out of the Paint Mare Goodilicious.

Third place went to Patricia Faust and her QH gelding Vintage Blue Machine. This marks another fine achievement for the pair at these European Championships: they had already won the bronze medal in Junior Pleasure and the silver medal in Junior Trail. Born in 2021, Vintage Blue Machine is by VS Code Blue out of a daughter of Potential Investment and was bred by Marco Stors.

Teilnehmer aus 15 Ländern haben die Go Rounds erfolgreich bestritten und kämpfen nun in den Finals um 42 Europameistertitel in den Performance Klassen. Neben dem begehrten Titel dürfen sich die Sieger auf attraktive Buckles, Schleifen, Medaillen und EC Patches freuen.

Besonders erfreulich sind die diesjährigen Starterzahlen, die sich im Vergleich zu 2025 nochmals deutlich gesteigert haben.

Hervorzuheben ist dabei vor allem der Senior Trail mit insgesamt 68 Startern. In diesem hochkarätig besetzten Feld konnte sich Franziska Dorfmeister mit Forever In Texas an die Spitze setzen. Arne Kühn sicherte sich mit Wise and Cute und Dont You Doubt Me die Plätze zwei und drei. Wir sind schon sehr gespannt auf das Finale, für das sich insgesamt 15 Teilnehmer qualifizieren konnten.

Auch die Entwicklung in den English Klassen ist äußerst erfreulich. Mit 23 Startern in der Green Hunter Under Saddle sowie jeweils 20 Teilnehmern in der Amateur Hunter Under Saddle und Hunt Seat Equitation sind diese Klassen in diesem Jahr sehr gut besetzt.

Ebenfalls erwähnenswert sind die Ranch Klassen, die sich weiterhin großer Beliebtheit erfreuen und den Ranch Spezialisten während der EC zahlreiche Startmöglichkeiten bieten. Mit 25 Startern im Ranch Trail, 27 in der Senior Ranch Riding, 23 Teilnehmern in der Amateur Ranch Riding und 20 Startern in der Ranch Rail waren die Klassen in diesem Jahr sehr gut besetzt. Neben den Europameister Klassen konnten die Teilnehmer auch in den IRHA Klassen an den Start gehen und hatten damit zahlreiche Möglichkeiten, ihr Können unter Beweis zu stellen.

The Go Rounds are completed – now we’re looking forward to exciting finals!

Competitors from 15 countries have successfully completed the Go Rounds and are now competing in the finals for 42 European championship titles in the performance classes. In addition to the coveted title, the winners can look forward to attractive buckles, ribbons, medals, and EC patches.

This year’s entry numbers are particularly pleasing, having increased once again significantly since 2025.

Particular mention should be made of the Senior Trail class, which had a total of 68 entries. In this highly competitive field, Franziska Dorfmeister took the win with Forever In Texas. Arne Kühn secured second and third place with Wise and Cute and Dont You Doubt Me. We are already very excited about the finals, for which a total of 15 participants have qualified.

The trend in the English classes is also extremely encouraging. With 23 competitors in the Green Hunter Under Saddle class and 20 each in the Amateur Hunter Under Saddle and Hunt Seat Equitation classes, these events are very well attended this year.

Also worth mentioning are the ranch classes, which are still very popular and offer ranch specialists numerous opportunities to compete during the EC. With 25 competitors in the Ranch Trail, 27 in Senior Ranch Riding, 23 participants in Amateur Ranch Riding, and 20 competitors in the Ranch Rail, the classes were very well attended this year. In addition to the European Championship classes, participants were also able to compete in the IRHA classes, which gave them numerous opportunities to show off their skills.

We wish all participants the very best of success in the finals!

Big ECQH Party Evening with the Yard Blues Band

At the end of the pre-runs we are very pleased to invite you to the ECQH Outdoor Party.

Der Sieger für den mit 4.000 Euro dotierten Kumlegaard Young Horse Cup, steht fest. Es traten insgesamt dreiundzwanzig 2- und 3-jährige Pferde in den Disziplinen Showmanship, Trail In Hand und Longe Line an.

The winner of the Kumlegaard Young Horse Cup, endowed with 4.000 Euros, has been determined. Twentythree 2- and 3-year-old horses competed in the disciplines Showmanship, Trail In Hand and Longe Line.

Mit großer Spannung blicken wir auf den Sonntag und das Finale des Kumlegaard Young Horse Cup. Nach zwei bereits absolvierten Disziplinen ist das Rennen um den Gesamtsieg denkbar knapp.

Den Auftakt machte am Freitag der Trail in Hand, gefolgt von der Showmanship am heutigen Samstag. Aktuell führt Julia Wran-Schumer mit IAmKindOfABigDeal und 186 Punkten die Zwischenwertung an. Nur drei Punkte dahinter liegt Alexandra Jagfeld mit Martinilicious und 183 Punkten. Auf Rang drei folgt Franca Bartke mit Glow N Bluelite Only und 182 Punkten.

Damit ist für Spannung gesorgt: In der morgigen Longe-Line-Klasse kann sich noch alles entscheiden. Wer wird sich am Ende den Titel im Kumlegaard Young Horse Cup sichern? Wir dürfen uns auf ein packendes Finale freuen! Ein Cup mit Tradition und großartiger Unterstützung.

Der Kumlegaard Young Horse Cup findet bereits zum sechsten Mal im Rahmen der European Champipnship of American Quarter Horses statt und ist inzwischen zu einem festen Bestandteil des Championats geworden. 

Möglich gemacht wird dieser besondere Jungpferde-Wettbewerb auch heuer wieder durch Familie Møller, die hinter Kumlegaard Quarter Horses steht und das  Preisgeld für den Cup gesponert hat. Ein herzliches Dankeschön für dieses großartige Engagement und die langjährige Unterstützung des Nachwuchses!

Excitement ahead of the Kumlegaard Young Horse Cup Final:

We’re eagerly looking forward to Sunday and the final of the Kumlegaard Young Horse Cup. With two disciplines already completed, the battle for the overall win is incredibly close.

The competition started on Friday with the Trail in Hand, followed by Showmanship today, Saturday. Julia Wran-Schumer currently leads the standings with IAmKindOfABigDeal and 186 points. Just three points behind is Alexandra Jagfeld with Martinilicious and 183 points. Franca Bartke follows in third place with Glow N Bluelite Only and 182 points.

This ensures plenty of excitement: Everything could still be decided in tomorrow’s Longe-Line class. Who will ultimately claim the title in the Kumlegaard Young Horse Cup? We can look forward to a thrilling finale! A cup with tradition and fantastic support.

The Kumlegaard Young Horse Cup is being held for the sixth time as part of the European Championship of American Quarter Horses and has now become an established part of the championship.

Once again this year, this special young horse competition is made possible by the Møller family, who are behind Kumlegaard Quarter Horses and have sponsored the prize money for the Cup. A big thank you for this wonderful commitment and the long-standing support of young talent!

Wir freuen uns an der European Championship of Quarter Horses, AQHA Chief Executive Officer Dave Dellin, AQHA First Vice President Lori Bucholz und AQHA Director of Competition and International Scott Neuman begrüßen zu können.

Dave hat die Aufgabe des CEO anfangs Jahr übernommen nachdem er zuvor dieselbe Position bei der Paint Horse Association innehatte. Dadurch und durch seine lange Tätigkeit als Pferdetrainer und Richter ist er mit den europäischen Verhältnissen bestens vertraut. Lori kennen und schätzen wir seit Jahren. Sie hat sich als Mitglied und Vorsitzende des International Committees stets für die europäischen Verbände und deren Anliegen eingesetzt. Scott ist für die FEQHA und die European Championship eine wichtige Ansprechperson. Durch seine langjährige Richtertätgkeit ist er ebenfalls bestens vertraut mit den europäischen Verhältnissen. 

Die hochkarätige AQHA Delegation wird vom 13. bis 15. August in Kreuth sein und am FEQHA Mitglieder Meeting am 14. August teilnehmen.

Ebenfalls wird die AQHA mit einem Stand in der Arena vom 13. bis 15. August vertreten sein. Der Stand wird am 13. und 14. August von 08:00 - 18:00 Uhr und am 15. August von 08:00 - 16:30 Uhr geöffnet sein. Wer sein Fohlen registrieren lassen möchte, ein Pferd ummelden will oder einen anderen Service benötigt, findet hier täglich Unterstützung.

AQHA represents with a booth and a high-profile delegation at the ECQH

We are pleased to welcome AQHA Chief Executive Officer Dave Dellin, AQHA First Vice President Lori Bucholz, and AQHA Director of Competition and International Scott Neuman to the European Championship of Quarter Horses.

Dave assumed the position of CEO at the beginning of the year after previously holding the same position at the Paint Horse Association. This, combined with his long career as a horse trainer and judge, has given him an in-depth understanding of the European equestrian scene.

We have known and appreciated Lori for years. As a member and president of the International Committee, she has consistently worked on behalf of the European associations and their interests.

Scott is a key contact for the FEQHA and the European Championship. With many years of experience as a judge, he is also very familiar with European conditions.

The top-class AQHA delegation will be in Kreuth from August 13 to 15 and will participate in the FEQHA Members’ Meeting on August 14.

The AQHA will also have a booth in the arena from August 13–15. The booth will be open on August 13 and 14 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on August 15 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Anyone wishing to register a foal, transfer a horse’s registration, or require any other service can find assistance there daily.
